King Solomon Academy aims to transform the lives of its pupils. Our mission is to provide a rigorous and transformational education that prepares our pupils for success at university and beyond.KSA opened in September 2009 with just 60 Year 7 pupils. The small year group size allows us to be able to promise every family that we will make the difference for their child. In a recent inspection by OFSTED we were described as unique and outstanding.
We believe in the power of positive relationships, that pupils thrive when they are known and cared for. As such we have fewer teachers, more time with pupils, and a smaller community. Behaviour is exemplary because we insist that it must be in order for every one of our pupils to climb the mountain to university.
We are now recruiting for an enthusiastic and talented Maths teacher, to join our small and passionate team of teachers.
Ideal candidates will:
- be utterly committed to transforming pupils’ lives by consistently going the extra mile in order to achieve success for their pupils
- have a proven track record of significantly raising achievement through outstanding teaching, particularly at KS3
- maintain the highest of expectations of all learners, in terms of behaviour and learning
- ensure that all learners make daily progress in mixed-ability classes
- constantly seek ways to improve the impact they have on their learners' progress in maths
- constantly seek ways to improve the impact they have on their learners' progress in maths
- be secure in assessing pupils' progress at KS3
- have leadership potential
In this role you will:
- become part of a team of like-minded individuals
- have the opportunity to take on additional leadership responsibilities
- deliver the maths curriculum to an entire cohort of 60 students
- be accountable for whole-school initiatives including Drop Everything and Read, sport, and musical and theatrical performances
- join the ARK network, with comprehensive in-school CPD as well as the unique opportunity to apply for international exchanges, Masters bursaries and other scholarship prospects
Speaking personally, we're an exceptional school and I love working here. The students are wonderful, the leadership team is visionary and the opportunity to be part of a start-up school is rare.

Bruno Reddy, Lead Teacher of Mathematics
Welcome
Maths is a fantastic subject that I believe should be taught with colour, movement and relevance. To do that takes time, creativity and effort because existing material (particularly textbooks) just isn't adequate for today's fastidious maths student. The web is excellent for delivering an interactive lesson and adding value to your teaching.

This site brings together many of the most useful sites and, for the first time, is a repository for 2 years' worth of my teaching resources.
I still actively manage this site so if you have any comments for me, any links you can suggest or any resources that you would like to share here, please get in touch. That goes for students too.
mrreddy.com can help mathematics teachers in 3 ways:
- By linking to relevant webpages for students - so you can direct your learners to one location, either in an IT lesson or for out-of-school learning.
- By providing a central location from which to access a variety of useful teaching tools - like the big blue calculator or the online scientific calculator.
- By sharing whiteboard and paper-based resources of my own.
